"This hotel was a wonderful find. We stayed in one of the lodges which was so beautiful, especially when frost was all across the course, and inside was warm, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds (even two pillows each) and every facility in the kitchen. We were visiting Exeter Uni and Fingle Glen was a short picturesque drive from the town centre. All the staff we came in contact with were helpful and efficient, the breakfast freshly cooked and nicely served. I cannot praise enough, and we will be returning as soon as possible - definitely staying longer next time! "

"Our stay here was unplanned - we just decided to stop off on our way home to West Sussex. We tried the local inn first but they were full so we drove in here. They had one lodge left. It was really lovely. The furnishings are of a high standard with leather sofas, flat screen TV and DVD player. The kitchen was extremely well equipped (including complimentary sachets of tea and coffee, which one doesn't necessarily expect in self catering accommodation). There were two bedrooms - one with a larger than average double bed and en suite bathroom (again with complimentary toiletries) the other bedroom had to singles and there was a shower room too. The beds were comfortable and it was so peaceful and quiet. As I said we were just over-nighting but I did read the folder in the living room stating that there are DVDs for hire as well as barbeques. There is a lovely decked area outside with a table and chairs. The club house has a restaurant (which we didn't use so I can't comment) serving meals all day and also a bar. (Incidentally there is a pub/inn in Tedburn St. Mary called The King's Arms which does very good food). Obviously this property is geared to golfers but by no means rule it out if you don't play golf - the grounds and surrounding countryside are beautiful, the lodges high quality and all in all a great place for a get-away. We really wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely stay there again when we're in the area."

"Just a note to say holiday was fantastic, lodge was first class, location central to everything so lots to see and do within half an hour drive. Kids loved open spaces just to play. Could not have asked for anything more and the sun even shined. Thanks for everything and we will be booking again."

"Fingle Glen was wonderfully relaxing and confortable, the cabin was very clean and modern. We were surrounded by lovely countryside and the children loved the freedom to play outside. The clubhouse was welcoming and served very good, reasonably priced food. Overall a great base for our holiday!"
